Kogarah Concert Band was established in 1888.

We believe we are the longest continuously running concert band in Australia.

Band rehearsals are held every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in the Kogarah School of Arts.

Instrumentation in our band includes piccolo, flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, baritone, tuba, bass guitar, auxiliary percussion and drum kit.

We play a variety of music including:

  • classical,
  • items from the big band/swing era,
  • rock,
  • jazz,
  • shows and movies.

In addition to the full concert band, we have saxophone, clarinet and flute ensembles

We support many community activities including fetes, citizenship ceremonies, nursing homes and hospitals, festivals, ANZAC and Australia Day Celebrations, Christmas carols, private functions, etc.

We welcome all new players to come and join us.
